A Zine is a small circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images. Zines are motivated by self-expression and informed by the DIY movement. This workshop is geared towards artists who are working within zines, but looking to make interesting and unique covers for their pre-existing projects.

In this workshop, participants will play with found imagery as a starting point, we’ll use these images in collages to create your own cover designs and we’ll add text using our showcard press and letterpress wood type.  We’ll photocopy your zine covers to make a small edition!

All materials are provided. Please feel free to bring anything that you might want to incorporate into your zine covers.
